It is with profound sadness and regret that the Wright, Fahnbulleh, Freeman, Andrews families announce the home-going of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Hawa Harriet Fahnbulleh-Wright affectionately known as “Oldma.” She spent her final hours at home on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 in Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA surrounded by the love and support of her family.
Oldma, thanks for being such a beacon of hope. Our memories of you will forever remain with us. You lived life to the fullest, teaching by example, the meaning of dignity, honor, fairness, integrity and forgiveness. Our family’s “poor man lawyer” will truly be missed. You were a wise, selfless, fiercely independent mother, whose ability to protect others and provide guidance inspired those who knew you to be better and do better. We love and miss you dearly, Oldma. Rest in peace till we meet again.
